Second life Final office

Before I do any changes on my office, here's a few of the photos.

Love-Hate

At our last group discussion, we were asked to bring something from our trash can project. Something we hated and something we liked/ loved.
The picture above is one of my trash can models. What i liked about it was the material and how it was flexible that you can do just about anything with it. It's very flexible. The material is also independent. Even though it's very thin, it holds itself up to the shape you put it into.

In saying all that, there is something I hate about this material. It's the fact that it's so thin, it is easy to mark or dent that it could damage the whole project. However in some cases, it's these dents and marks that make it look interesting.

Poster

At the beginning of this semester we were asked to make a grotesque poster.
This poster is about questioning the universal language of a traffic light. The series of traffic lights on this poster plays around with the idea of the command 'stop'. Just stop!

Final Trash Can

Trash Can Design Project
In three weeks, I was able to produce this project that is a time capsule/trash can. Just like a normal trash can, my design has a lid but once it's closed, the bin automatically vacuums in and the cork i needed so no air can enter the bin.
The idea of this project is that it preserves all 'ideas' and projects that's inside and in 10 to 15 years time is when you can open it. This is so that the if you are lacking ideas, the 'preserved' ideas will hopefully inspire you for a totally different idea.

I've decided to put my drawings on the same material as the model as it gives the viewers a sense of what the real project will look and feel like if it were to be made.
Also, it looks more interesting rather than just drawings on plain white paper.
